THE SME SECTOR – INNOVATIVE ENOUGH DURING FAVOURABLE PERIODS?
The occasion: The kick-off of COMPANYLINKS.
Around 170 guests had confirmed their attendance, among them numerous leading representatives from business and society.
Before the event, Senator for Economic Affairs, Frank Horch, had very positive comments on the COMPANYLINKS GmbH business model: “In view of the immense challenges tens of thousands of companies face when looking for a successor, I as the Senator for Economic Affairs of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, really welcome the concept of COMPANYLINKS and wish them all the best for the future.”
“The SME sector is one of the pillars of the German economy,” said Hamburg’s Economics Senator Frank Horch. This opinion was also shared by Götz Hertz-Eichenrode: “The strength of the SME sector is its adaptability. Many established family businesses are fast and innovative”. However, the challenges have also increased significantly. “The power of ideas is immense,” said Stephan Balzer. “In many areas, policies could be more deregulated in order to create even more momentum”. The speakers agreed that the German SME sector and its innovations are an important pillar for the future in Germany.
