On August 21, 2018, the following persons held a discussion in Bootshaus Bobby Reich at the Alster in Hamburg:

THE MEDIUM-SIZED SECTOR – INNOVATIVE ENOUGH IN SUCCESSFUL TIMES?.
The occasion: The kick-off of COMPANYLINKS.
Around 170 guests had confirmed their attendance, among them numerous leading representatives from business and society.
Prior to the event, Senator for Economic Affairs Frank Horch had very positive comments on the business model of Companylinks GmbH: “In view of the immense challenges tens of thousands of companies face when looking for a successor, I as the Senator for Economic Affairs of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg very much welcome the concept of Companylinks and wish them all the best for the future.”

“The medium-sized sector is one of the pillars of the German economy,” said Frank Horch. This view is shared by Götz Hertz-Eichenrode: “The strength of the medium-sized sector is its adaptability. Many established family businesses are fast and innovative.” However, the challenges have also increased significantly. “The power of ideas is immense,” said Stephan Balzer. “In many areas, politics could decrease regulations in order to create more momentum.” The discussants therefore agreed that the German medium-sized sector and its innovations are an important pillar for the future of Germany.
